Family Suite – Sleeps up to 5
The Family Suite (dog-friendly) is on the first floor and has a wealth of period features dating from 1690; high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling wooden panelling and a recently restored cast iron Georgian hob grate within original bolection fire surround. Antique furniture and brass chandelier sit comfortably alongside modern armchairs and an impressive 6ft wide by 6ft6in Super King size bed. A dual aspect room, the large sash windows face South and West, from which you can enjoy fine views over the village and up the valley.
The separate, inter-connecting Bunk Room has been cleverly fitted with a triple bunk and sleeps three children. There is also room for a travel cot (not supplied).
The Family Suite will also accommodate a group of up to five adults when configured as a Twin, as the bunks are full size single beds!
The en-suite bathroom has a period, claw foot, roll-top bath (perfect for kids’ bathtime) with a rain head shower over.

*QUIRKY FACT – When restoring the Bunk Room, we discovered that prickly gorse from the moor had been tightly packed behind the panelling. Our best guess is that it served as a rodent deterrent in centuries past!
Due to its Grade II Listed status, the installation of TV aerials would cause too much damage to the fabric of the house, so there are no televisions in our guest bedrooms. Please feel free to bring a tablet or laptop to stream programmes using our Wifi.
(This bedroom can be converted to Twin beds instead, if required.)
